You can share your work with your colleagues without letting them change your settings. Alternatively, you can share a scoped down view of the network to a subset of the company or a customer.
Leveraging the work you've already done to define user groups, a dashboard owner can set privileges for all users, specific user groups, or just keep it private.
For more information, see User Group Management.
NOTE - Dashboards are created as private by default. Nobody will see your work until share it.
Privilege Levels
Privilege levels that you can grant all users or specific user groups are:
- Manage - Edit, plus the ability to change sharing settings, rename, and delete the dashboard.
- Edit - Able to make permanent changes to the dashboard (add/remove cards, change dashboard filters and card settings).
- View - Able to view the dashboard and make temporary changes to the dashboard that won't be persisted (for troubleshooting purposes).
A user will see whether the dashboard is:
- Private to them
- Shared by them
- Shared with them
How to share a dashboard?
When you are the owner of the dashboard, or a member of a group that has a manage privilege, you can make changes to the dashboard sharing settings.
- Open the dashboard
- Select the sharing settings from within the "More Options" menu (triple dots beside the dashboard name).
- Choose to grant access privileges to all users.
- Choose to add specific user group privileges.
- Apply your changes.
