You can share your work with your colleagues without letting them change your settings. Alternatively, you can share a scoped down view of the network to a customer or a subset of the company.
Leveraging the work you have already completed to define user groups, a dashboard owner can set privileges for all users, specific user groups, or simply keep the dashboard private.
For more information, see User Groups.
Note: By default, dashboards are created as private. Nobody will see your work until share it.
Sharing a Dashboard
When you are the owner of the dashboard, or a member of a group that has a manage privilege, you can make changes to the dashboard sharing settings.
To share a dashboard
-
Navigate to Monitoring and open the dashboard.
-
Click the (...) ellipsis next to the dashboard name and select Sharing settings.
-
Choose to add specific user group privileges.
-
Choose to grant access privileges to all users. See Privilege Levels below.
-
Click Save to apply your changes.
Privilege Levels
The privilege levels that you can grant all users or specific user groups are:
- No access: The user is denied access.
- Can view: The user is able to view the dashboard and make temporary changes to the dashboard that will not be persisted (for troubleshooting purposes).
- Can edit: The user is able to make permanent changes to the dashboard (add/remove cards, change dashboard filters and card settings).
- Can manage: The user is given full access with the ability to edit, change sharing settings, rename, and delete the dashboard.
A user will see whether the dashboard is:
