This article discusses the various Dashboard options that came be executed in Cisco Provider Connectivity Assurance (formerly Skylight performance analytics).
Managing Your Dashboards
To manage the Dashboards
Note: You must have Admin role privileges.
- Click Monitoring in the navigation pane on the top-left.
The Dashboard sidebar appears. - Click Manage.
You will see a table with three columns:
- Dashboards
- Permissions
- Owner
Above the table you have an option to filter your various dashboards by either using the Search Bar or by clicking the Group by… button to the right of the search bar;
- This allows you to group your dashboards by Owner, Section, or Shared with (a user group name).
Note: Single dashboards may be listed under multiple groups when you select Shared with grouping.
- Click the dashboard that you intend to mange.
The right sidebar will be expanded.
Here, you can:
Edit the dashboard’s name.
View the dashboard in more detail by clicking Open.
Note: If you select more than one dashboard at a time, the sidebar will look slightly different; possibility to change the dashboard names and the Open button is unavailable, for example.Export the dashboard by clicking the Export icon; a ZIP file with a list of JSON files will be created.
Move the selected dashboard(s) into another section by clicking the Move into section… button
- You may select an existing section or create a new one by clicking the Create button; once clicked, you can choose a new category name and then click the Add button. The newly created category will be at the top of your list and automatically selected.
Note: New categories will only be created when at least one dashboard is moved into it (by clicking Move (x) button). - Once you’re ready to move your selected dashboard(s), click the Move (x) button; your dashboards will appear in the new created section.
- Create user groups; as an example, you can specify what type of access a user may have:
- No access: The user is denied access.
- Can view: This provides the user with read-only access.
- Can edit: This provides the user with read and write access.
- Can manage: The user is given full access to managing the dashboard.
- Use dashboard-specific permissions by clicking Use permissions from a specific dashboard.
- Once clicked, select the dashboard whose permissions you would like to use; your initially selected dashboard(s) will now share the same permissions, such as user groups, with this newly selected dashboard.
