Skylight Analytics 23.04 Release Notes

Executive Summary

Spring forward with the new set of features we've worked on in this release while enjoying a few enhancements.

1. Geo Map with Links - Add more context to your KPIs heat maps with links
2. Cross-tab Widget with Pre-aggregate Binning - Examine the distribution of your KPIs between two related categories
3. Time-interval Offset - Compare two different time intervals on the same dashboard
4. Sensor: agent Management GUI - We've added the ability to manage agent and agent session configuration and state via the platform UI.

Headline features

Geo Map with Links

The 23.04 release now lets you add additional context on the Dashboard Geo Widget by providing three new options:

• Support for source in addition to target location
• Links between source and target
• Search a source or a source and target on the map

Cross-tab Widget with Pre-aggregate Binning

We are now providing pre-aggregate binning in the Dashboard Crosstab Widget so you can see the KPI distribution of a KPI across two related categories.

Time Interval Offset

Set specific time intervals offset for each section or card which will trigger it to rendered that much earlier than the global time picker. This is SUPER useful for comparing time over time on the same dashboard. We offer two modes:

1. Offset by steps - the specific card or all cards in the section will use data stepped back from the current internal dynamically based on the interval size you are viewing (i.e. the time picker is set to 8H, and the offset is 2 intervals = offset of 16 hours)
2. Offset by days - this one is more obvious, the card or section will use the same interval as the time picker, only a set number or days earlier (i.e. the time picker is set to 9am to 10am on Wednesday, and the offset is set to 2 days = data from 9am to 10am on Monday will be shown)

Sensor: agent Graphical User Interface

Analytics runs on the same platform as the orchestration services for our sensor: agents allowing us to build screens on top of the APIs our customers already know and love to integrate into their automated service assurance workflows. This new view is available to accounts with the USER or ADMIN role.

Additional features

Sensor: capture Zone and Application Inventory has moved

Previously hidden under Setting, we've moved them under the Inventory module, although they are still only visible to accounts with the ADMIN role.

Stacked Area Charts

We've made enhancements to the Dashboard Line Chart Widget by adding a new "Stacked" area option to visualize line charts relative to one another.

Landing Page Branding Options

We already allowed admins to choose the applications logo, favicon, and primary colours. Now they can also customize the application name and image that appear on login.

Protection on the Number of Zones and Application for Capture Sensor

While provisioning zones and applications for each capture sensor in the UI you will now be able to know when the allowable limit has been reached.

User Onboarding Message

When a new user is onboarded they will be greeted with useful information including tips and documentation to better navigate Sklylight Performance Analytics. Our CSM team can assist with enabling or disabling this option.
