Understanding Flow Trace Reports
Flow trace reports help you identify traffic patterns across your network, analyze throughput performance, and evaluate the system’s effectiveness in managing network bandwidth and congestion. This analysis can be performed at an aggregated level or with detailed endpoint information.
When interpreting these reports, pay attention to the following elements:
- Access Endpoint: View traffic data at the level of individual Access Endpoints or aggregated groups.
- Traffic Types: The reports differentiate between various network flow types, providing counts for each category.
- Throughput Performance: Observe average throughput measurements in Kbps for different flow types.
- Congestion Management: Track network congestion metrics and capacity recovery statistics.
- Data Transfer Totals: See the total data transferred, broken down by overall volume and direction (uplink/downlink).
- Time Period Context: Each report entry covers a specific time period within a designated time zone.
Generating Flow Trace Reports
To generate flow trace reports, follow these steps:
- In the sidebar, navigate to from the Platform menu, expand Tools, and select Flow Trace Reports.
- Select the desired time range for the report data.
- Choose between individual access endpoints or aggregated groups from the Select Metric dropdown menu.
- Select Download Report to download the report as a CSV file.

Subscribing to the Report Mailing List
You can configure these reports to automatically generate and send to a list of recipients at a specified interval.
To configure the mailing list, complete the following steps:
- In the sidebar, navigate from the Platform menu, expand Tools, and select Mailing List.
- Select the desired report type: Access Endpoint, Access Aggregation, or License.
- Select the desired frequency for report generation and delivery.
- Provide a comma-separated list of email addresses for the recipients.
- After verifying the information, select Add to complete the configuration.

- The “License Report” type is available if Network Optimization is licensed. This license report provides the system throughput usage graph over the selected interval that the
users wish to receive the report above and the top eight highest system throughput data points that are detected by traffic processor(s) for every license ID. Each license ID represents a Serving Gateway (SGW). During commercial agreement, the license can be configured to license all SGWs or individual SGW.
