Notification Management

Prev Next

In the Management System, you can view and manage notifications saved by the platform. Superadmin users can view and manage notifications by navigating to the Platform menu, selecting Settings and then Notifications.

View notifications

On the ‘Notifications’ page, you will find a series of tabs for each service. In each tab, there are two tables with columns for type, message, hostname, status, and actions. The first table contains Snoozed/Disable Notifications, while the second contains Enabled Notifications.

Enabled notifications have a + symbol on the left. Clicking this symbol will display the specific message and the date and time the notification was sent. The default limit for detailed notifications saved by notification type is 1000 notifications. This value can be changed in the docker.application.properties file with the property opanga.services.notifications.details.max.kept.count. If no recent notifications are available, a text indicating “No recent notifications” will be displayed instead of the two tables.

Managing notifications

As a superadmin, you can manage notifications using the options available in the Actions column of the table. Depending on the status of the notifications, the buttons in the Actions column will change.

Snooze/Unsnooze

Clicking the Snooze button in the actions column will snooze detailed notifications for the next 24 hours for a specific notification type.

Once a notification is snoozed, the notification type will be moved to the Snoozed Notifications table, which will not show detailed notifications. This table will only be displayed if at least one notification type is snoozed. The date when the notifications will be automatically unsnoozed will be displayed in the Status column.

You can unsnooze notifications before the specified date using the Unsnooze button.

Disable/Enable

Clicking the Disable button will disable detailed notifications until you click the Enable button. Once a notification is disabled, the notification type will be moved to the Snoozed Notifications table.
