Updating Energy Settings

To access and use the Energy Reduction Configurations page, you must have the superadmin role. This page provides a view of the parameters used by the Energy Reduction features. To navigate to this page, start at the Platform menu, expand the Energy Reduction section, and select Settings from the sidebar.

Cell Conditions Threshold

The Cell Conditions Threshold sets a minimum threshold for the ML prediction engine. Any scenario where the field value is below this threshold won’t be considered viable.

To configure this setting, select the threshold type from the dropdown menu, enter the corresponding value, and click Save Changes.

Watts Used Per Frequency Band

This setting defines the average watts used to power frequency bands in the network, which is crucial for calculating energy savings when cells are turned off.

The list of frequency bands is populated from the metadata file. For more details on this, see the Metadata file format section.

Enter the watts used for each frequency band and click Save Changes.

Energy Cost Per kWh

Define the currency and cost per kWh of energy consumed by the network to ensure more accurate savings estimates.

To configure this, select the currency from the dropdown menu, enter the cost per kWh, and click Save Changes.

ECI Shutoff Blacklist

The ECI Shutoff Blacklist is a list of ECIs (or their aliases) that the ML prediction engine should not power off.

To upload the blacklist, click Select File (.txt), choose a plain text file with one ECI identifier or alias per line, and then click Upload.

Viewing Energy Reduction Insights

To access the Energy Reduction Insights page, you must have the superadmin or stats viewer role. This page displays the energy reduction dashboard.

To navigate to this page, go to the Platform menu, expand the Energy Reduction section, and select Visualizations from the sidebar.
