When the Skylight Flex switch is made up, by default ECFM, it is in the start state, but operationally in disable state, that is, it does not generate, receive or reply to any of the CFM PDUs once ECFM gets enabled. ECFM is enabled on all the interfaces that are up.
For Ethernet CFM entities (MEP and MIP) to function, ECFM must be enabled on each interface, where the CFM entities are configured, and all the ECFM entities must be configured (MD, MA, MEP, and MIP).
