When Skylight Flex switch is made up, by default ECFM, it is in the start state, but operationally in disable state. That is, it does not generate, receive, or reply to any of the CFM PDUs.
For Ethernet CFM entities to function, ECFM must be enabled, and all the ECFM entities must be configured (MD, MA, MEP, and MIP).
CLI Configurations
To enable ECFM
- Enter into the global configuration mode.
your product# configure terminal - Enable CFM processing globally.
your product(config)# ethernet cfm enable - Return to the privileged EXEC mode.
your product(config)# exit
To disable ECFM
- Enter into the global configuration mode and disable CFM processing globally.
your product(config)# no ethernet cfm enable
