Navigating Dashboards

The catalog of monitoring dashboards can be accessed from the main navigation menu. Recently used dashboards are listed at the top for quick access and a Search bar is available to help filter down the list.

From the dashboard inventory, you can open an existing dashboard by clicking on it. When clicking the (...) ellipsis, you also have the option to clone, export, move, and delete dashboards.

Choosing a Dashboard Category

When creating a dashboard, you have the option to add the dashboard to an existing category of dashboards or create a new category. Dashboard categories help organize large volumes of dashboards and clarify the purpose of the dashboards within the group.

Managing Dashboard Categories

Dashboard categories are tied to dashboards and can be created when creating or moving a dashboard. Dashboard groups can also be renamed by clicking the (...) ellipsis next to the category name. A dashboard group will disappear if the last dashboard in the group is deleted or moved.

Managing Dashboard Permissions

Dashboards are created as Private and are not visible to anyone other than the creator unless dashboard permissions are changed. The visibility of a dashboard is shown in the dashboard list.

To change a dashboard’s permissions, click the (...) ellipsis next to the dashboard name and select Sharing settings.

Note: You must be the creator or be granted manage privileges to the dashboard.

Dashboard permissions can be set for everyone in the system or per user group. The following access settings are available:

• No access: The user is denied access
• Can view: The user is provided with read-only access
• Can edit: The user is provided with read and write access
• Can manage: The user is given full access with rename, delete, and sharing capabilities
