The Topology widget, also known as a scatter-plot, is a dashboard component that visualizes key performance indicators (KPIs) in both tabular and graphical formats. It represents data across X, Y axes, and uses size and color to enhance the understanding of KPIs, such as:
- Session Analysis: Identify areas within the topology that may be causing issues, such as loss versus count and delay.
- Capture Impact: Visualize key servers impacting clients, analyzed by round-trip time (RTT) and response time (RT).
Visualization capabilities include:
- Color Coding and Plotting: Customize the color, plot, or size of any data item for better visualization.
- Runtime Support: Offers various runtime options for interactive data exploration.
- Interactive Drill-Down: Allows users to drill down into selected topology elements for deeper insights.
- Comprehensive Filtering: Supports click-based filtering, CSV export, and column ordering within the table.
For detailed guidance on using Topology widgets, refer to the online documentation.

Table Functions
- Export to CSV: Easily export table data to a CSV file for further analysis.
- Column Ordering: Customize the order of columns for better data organization.
- Click and Filter: Apply filters by clicking on specific data points.
Scatter Chart Interaction
- Hover Details: View detailed KPI information and table data by hovering over scatter chart objects.
- Topology Insights: Gain insights into the topology by examining specific data points.
Drill-Down Capabilities
- Double-Click Functionality: Double-click on a scatter plot object to create a drill-down view focused on that item.
- Focused Refresh: Refreshes the display to focus on the selected item, offering further drill-down or client/server perspectives.

Capabilities
Measure Distribution Visualization: Effectively display the distribution of measures across topology or client/server IPs for KPI analysis.
Scatter Plot Relationships: Establish relationships between different KPIs using scatter plots.
Client/Server Impact: Analyze how clients are affected by servers based on various selections.
Topology Hotspots: Identify critical topology areas for quick action, such as routers impacting loss/delay.
Additional KPI Integration: Add additional KPIs to the table for analysis without plotting them.
Dashboard Linking: Topology boxes can link to other dashboards and support filtering for integrated analysis.
Drill-Down Flexibility: Change views, zoom in, and copy data to the clipboard for enhanced data exploration.
