Time Selection

Overview

• Time Selection is available in:
  • Dashboards (Monitoring), Analysis, Reports, Inventory, Sensors
  • Zoom in on line-chart, Analysis trend and inventory performance
• Time Selection influences the entire display; opening a new window would allow multiple time windows
• Time Selection has different granularities based on source data
  • You cannot zoom below highest resolution (1 day, 6 hours, 1 hour, 15 minutes, 1 minute, and 1 second)
• Time Selection supports:
  • Absolute (between two dates) or relative (last hour, day, week)
  • Click and drag for line or bar charts plus reset
  • Automatic refresh for NOC/SOC display
  • Scroll through time windows

Filter Options

• Time ranges
  • Relative:
    • 180 days at 1 day granularity
    • 31 Days at 6 hours granularity
    • 7 Days at 1 hour granularity
    • 1 Day at 15 mins granularity
    • 8 hours at 1min granularity
    • 1 hour at 1 second granularity
  • Absolute:
    • Click on the date range and a calendar will appear
      • Select time (Hours or Days); automatic granularity based on range
        

Filter Capabilities

• Perfect for drill-down into events and areas of interest
• Granularity limit based on source resolution
• Line charts with time intervals show KPI correlation (or lack thereof)
• Time interval selections are inherited by child dashboards or options
• Automatic refresh is good for NOC/SOC views
• Time Selection is in local time

• On a line chart, drag along X axis to zoom, reset to clear
• Zoom to change granularity based on time range
