With the 22.11 release of the Skylight Solution, we have incorporated many features and enhancements to some of our solution components. This article helps centralize, by individual component category, all the latest information in one convenient place.
Skylight performance analytics
Skylight performance analytics 22.11 introduces the following features and enhancements:
- Traceroute: Leverage traceroute information to enhance your troubleshooting workflow
- Multi language support: Work in the app in the language of your choice with 5 new options.
- Branding: Set your own landing screen background picture and logo.
- More alert delivery options: Our services team can now give you more options for alert delivery to the tool of our choice.

Skylight orchestrator
Skylight orchestrator 22.10 introduces the following features and enhancements:
Complete Docker Container Support: High availability (HA) support in Docker containers (IPv4 only) and support for all profiles on the fresh installation of Docker: 5K, 15K, 30K and 60K profiles.
Migration to Docker: A virtual machine (VM) to Docker container migration path is provided.
Skylight Flex 100 Alarm Management: Managing Skylight Flex 100 alarms is now possible.
Introduced ESXi 7.0 Support: Official support for VMware ESXi 7.0 has been added.
Skylight sensor: control Compatibility: Skylight orchestrator has been enhanced to operate with Skylight sensor: control releases 21.12 and 22.06. Please note that Skylight orchestrator releases prior to release 22.10 are unable to manage Skylight sensor: control release 22.06.
Skylight sensor: control Multiple Sync-Groups Support: Skylight orchestrator 22.10 supports multiple sync-groups that have been configured on Skylight sensor: control 22.06; the TOS of the sync-group can be individually selected.
Skylight Elements Compatibility: Skylight orchestrator 22.10 has been enhanced to be backward compatible with Skylight elements, including releases 7.9.3 and 7.9.4.
Skylight elements PTP v2 Support: With release 7.9.2 of Skylight elements, PTPv2 commissioning and PTPv2 Managed Object Inventory are available.
Skylight elements SyncE Support: With release 7.9.2 of Skylight elements, SyncE commissioning and SyncE Managed Object Inventory options are available.
Certificate Preserved After Upgrade: Following an upgrade, either to a virtual appliance or container (Docker), the signed certificate no longer needs to be reinstalled; the imported certificate is preserved on Skylight orchestrator.
Increased CIS Pass Rate: The CIS pass rate has been increased to 79-80%. Previously, the pass rate was 71%.
Support for Second TWAMP Reflection UDP Port on Skylight sensor: control: For Skylight sensor: control 22.06 reflection, a second TWAMP reflection UDP port has been added.
Skylight orchestrator allows you to configure the second TWAMP reflection UDP port for the Session Reflector configuration job. Moreover, Skylight orchestrator supports creating a session with the second TWAMP reflection UDP port.Two OS Partitions with Equal Size: The fresh installation Skylight orchestrator from release 22.10 will have two OS partitions of the same size (28 GB).
ICMPv6 echo and UDP IPv6 echo Support for Skylight sensor: control: From Skylight orchestrator 22.10, you can create ICMPv6 echo and UDP IPv6 echo sessions via WEB GUI, mgr-commands and REST API for Skylight sensor: control release 22.06 and later.
Service Performance Test Summary Dashboard: The Service performance Results tab has a chart dashboard to represent the status and summary of RFC 2544 and Y.1564 tests managed by Skylight orchestrator.
REST API for Trace Route on Devices: From Skylight orchestrator 22.10, orchestrator supports a new REST API, NetworkElement/{id}/utilities/traceroute, to send a traceroute command directly to the devices and return parsed output.
Customizable lastrr API Values: Skylight orchestrator 22.10 has been enhanced to allow full customization of the values in the lastrr API; the lastrr API will return all metrics of an RR rather than a specific and limited list.

Skylight sensor: agents
Skylight sensor: agents 22.11 introduces the following features and enhancements:
- New agent - trace supporting L3-L4 path tracing with A/B comparative path views in Analytics
- Per-session namespace / VRF support for all agents
- Management API backwards compatible with 22.07
- Updated helm charts for kubernetes deployment
- Updated status tool for troubleshooting

Skylight sensor: capture
Skylight sensor: capture 22.11 introduces the following features and enhancements:
- Enhanced Netflow / IPFIX Support: Layer-2 MAC address parsing added to Netflow, allowing reporting on flows based on source / destination MAC.
- FTP Layer Updates: password, cmds & replies codes/counters arrays have been added.

Skylight Interceptor
Skylight Interceptor 22.11 introduces the following features and enhancements:
Threat Feed Management: Now you can fully control threat feeds in Interceptor. This means you can can add custom threat feeds or enable/disable default threat feeds that come with Interceptor.
Allowlist Improvements: You can now add complex, multi conditional allowlist rules and add a schedule for every rule to be active.
