Setting Up a Module & SFP Configuration Job
A Skylight sensor: control can be connected to a number of Skylight sensor: module and Skylight sensor: SFP compute modules that act as remote ports for the sensor: control. These Skylight sensor: module and Skylight sensor: SFP compute modules are referred to as Skylight sensor: modules of the sensor: control.
You can use a configuration job to configure Skylight sensor: modules connected to a Skylight sensor: control.
To set up a Module & SFP Configuration job
Access the page Commission ▶ Jobs.
Set all common configuration job settings, as described in Creating Configuration Jobs in GUI Mode on page 152 and in Creating Configuration Jobs Using Data Sets on page 155.
Select Module & SFP configuration in the left pane. The Module & SFP configuration tab is displayed.
Module & SFP Configuration tab
Complete all fields of the Module & SFP configuration tab as required. For more information on specific parameters, see the table below.
Use the Add button or Duplicate button to add Skylight modules as required.
Note: When duplicating a row, always select the row to duplicate before clicking the Duplicate button.
Click Apply, then Close.
Click the Refresh button to refresh the user interface.

General
Parameters | Description |
---|---|
Admin state | Use this checkbox to set the administrative state of the Skylight sensor: module. Available options:
|
Authorize | Use this checkbox to allow the Skylight sensor: control to connect to the Skylight sensor: module. |
Extra reconnection delay | Select this box to make the Skylight sensor: control wait longer when reconnecting to this Skylight sensor: module before declaring it unreachable. |
Update general parameters | Possible values: True or False. |
Flex monitor | Select this box to enable the FlexMonitor on the Skylight sensor: module. When FlexMonitor is enabled, the device is used in out-of-line mode and will be able to activate advanced features on both ports. |
Feature suite | Firmware suite version currently installed on the device. |
Switch to IS delay | Amount of time (in seconds) to wait (after SAT testing is completed) before timing out and setting the admin state of the Skylight sensor: module to Out of Service. |
Tunnel TCP port | The TCP port to use for the tunnel between the Skylight sensor: control and the linked Skylight sensor: module. The TCP tunnel is used to support advanced features on second generation Skylight sensor: modules. |
Tunnel DSCP | The DSCP value to use for the tunnel between the Skylight sensor: control and the linked Skylight sensor: module. The DSCP tunnel is used to support advanced features on second generation Skylight sensor: modules. |
In service feature | The in service feature associated with each Skylight sensor: module. Available options are: TGEN Traffic generation (used to perform SAT tests) PMON: metrics collection (used by all other features, including service OAM, traffic management and loopbacks). |
Update Module Name | Change name of the module. |
Module Name | Name of the module. |
CFM Version
Parameters | Description |
---|---|
Update SOAM Library | Possible values: True or False. |
Force Delete Dmm-Reflectors | Possible values: True or False. |
Library Version | This parameter is only relevant for jobs that will be executed on Skylight sensor: control or on second generation Skylight sensor: modules connected to a Skylight sensor: control. It will be ignored for jobs executed on Skylight elements or Skylight sensor: control if it has two libraries that implement CFM. Possible values are:
|
flowmeter Rate
Parameters | Description |
---|---|
Configure Sampling Period | You can configure the sampling period. Possible values are: 1ms, 10 ms, 100 ms or 1,000 ms. |
Sampling Period | The frequency at which throughput is calculated, then compared with the Maximum and Minimum throughput values recorded at this point of the current period. Expressed in milliseconds. The Sampling Period is specific to each device. |
