Changing the Administrator Password

This article explains how to change the password of the administrator account in Legacy Orchestrator. It is important to not lose the password after it has been changed.

Procedure Requirements

A. This procedure must be executed from the Legacy Orchestrator console. Connect to the console via a remote SSH client (appliance IP address, port 22).

B. This procedure must be executed as the admin user. To execute this procedure, you must know the account’s credentials.

C. Legacy Orchestrator services must be started.

To change the administrator password

  1. Type:
admin change-admin-pass
  1. At the prompt Enter admin username [default: admin]>, type enter for the default.

  2. At the prompt Enter the admin password>, enter the current admin password.

  3. At the prompt Enter the new admin password>, enter the new password.

  4. At the prompt Enter the new admin password again>, re-enter the new password.
    Wait for the domain to restart.

  5. Log in when prompted to confirm the new password.

  6. At the prompt Enter admin username [Enter to accept default]>, type enter for the default.

  7. At the prompt Enter admin password>, enter the new password.
