Changing the Administrator Password

Procedure Requirements

1. This procedure must be executed from the appliance console.
2. This procedure must be executed as the visionems user. To execute this procedure, you must know the account’s credentials.

Procedure Steps

To change the administrator password

1. SSH to the appliance on port 22 and login as the visionems user.

2. Enter: cd /opt/accedian/skylight/glassfish/bin

3. Enter: ./asadmin --port 5048

4. At the asadmin prompt enter: restart-domain skylightdomain

5. At the asadmin prompt enter:
   change-admin-password --domain_name skylightdomain

6. When asked for the admin username, press Enter to accept the default.

7. When asked for the current admin password, enter the current password.
   

   ---

   Note: The default admin password is 4Accedian2Use!

   ---

8. When asked for a new admin password, enter the password you wish to use.

9. Re-enter the new password to confirm the change.

10. At the asadmin prompt enter: restart-domain skylightdomain

11. At the asadmin prompt enter: login

12. When asked for the admin username, press Enter to accept the default.

13. When asked for the admin password, enter the new password.

14. At the asadmin prompt enter: exit
