Good question! Skylight performance analytics offers the capability to retain varying levels of data granularity for different time periods.
Granularities
Incoming data is aggregated into pre-set intervals to improve query performance and support longer data retention. The following are the pre-set intervals:
- Raw or Full granularity as received from the data source
- 1 minute
- 15 minute
- 1 hour
- 1 day (only available for capture per packet intel data, not 3rd party or session PM data)
Default Retention Periods
Accedian's Sensor: capture produces performance data from packet analysis, and can have different data retention settings from the session performance data from Accedian's other sensors and 3rd party sources.
Data Type | Production | Proof of Value / Trial |
---|---|---|
Capture flows | Full : 30 days 1 minute : 30 days 15 minutes : 90 days 1 hour : 1 year 24 hours : 4 years | Full : 9 days 1 minute : 9 days 15 minutes : 9 days 1 hour : 36 days 24 hours : 144 days |
Session / Third Party | 1 minute : 90 days 15 minutes : 180 days (upon request) 1 hour : 1 year (upon request) | 1 minute : 30 days |
Caveats
The above retention periods are:
- only applicable when hosted by Accedian
- subject to change at Accedian's discretion
Retention periods can be adjusted to suit the customer's needs, but may be subject to additional fees.
