Legacy orchestrator can connect automatically to devices, such as Provider Connectivity Assurance Sensor Control and Provider Connectivity Assurance Sensors, using credentials. Credentials allow Legacy orchestrator to log in on devices directly—no human operator intervention is required. A credential includes the user ID and password for a user account that must be available on one or more devices that Legacy orchestrator will access. When you add a devices to the list of Managed Elements in Legacy orchestrator, you must select a valid credential as a parameter for the device. This will allow Legacy orchestrator to log in on the devices directly. The same credential can be used for many devices.
The Credentials page lists credentials that have already been defined and allows you to define additional credentials.
Note: Legacy orchestrator manages several types of user accounts including:
Credential accounts (listed in the Devices ▶ Credentials page). These accounts allow Legacy orchestrator to access the elements it manages.
Legacy orchestrator user accounts (listed in the Admin ▶ Users page). These accounts give users access to the Legacy orchestrator web interface.
