Licensing

The Management System requires a valid license to enable basic functions and purchased features. Cisco will provide a license during installation and whenever the license is renewed or new features are purchased. Admin users can upload and view the system license from the Platform -> Licensing -> Management page.

View the License

When the system is licensed, the top section of the page will show basic license information. This includes the license’s issued date, expiration date, and various licensed configurations.

The second section will list the purchased feature sets and any limit details. Some individual features may be licensed for trial purposes, in which case they may have an expiration date separate from the overall license.

Select features sets may also have a Site Based limit. These require uploading a separate list of identifiers for the features to be applied correctly. The system will not apply feature sets with a Site Based limit to any identifiers not in this list.

Licenses can be uploaded from the form found at the bottom of the page. When there is no license present in the system, or the existing license has expired, this form will instead be at the top of the page and no other license information will be displayed.
