For more information on specific parameters, see the following table.

RFC-2544 Tests Result List (RFC-2544 ▶ Results)

ParameterDescription
Test nameThe name of the test suite.

A maximum of one test suite can be created per device.

DescriptionA short description used to help identify the report.
Source device nameName of the source device for this test.
OperatorName of the user who executed the test suite.
StatusState of execution of the test suite. Possible values:
  • UNSTARTED: The test has not been started yet.
  • INPROGRESS: The test is running.
  • COMPLETED: The test was completed successfully.
  • STOPPED: The test was canceled prior to completion.
  • FAILED: The test failed.
Start timeThe timestamp indicating when the test began.
End timeThe timestamp indicating when the test ended.
Force deleteSelect this option to ensure the immediate removal of any test configurations that were deleted locally. Will not wait for the next synchronization process to complete.

If a test configuration is deleted directly from a device (using the web interface or a CLI command on the device itself), a subsequent request on Legacy orchestrator to delete this test configuration will result in an error message stating that the test is not present on the device.

In the event of such an error, Legacy orchestrator will leave the test configuration in its database. Legacy orchestrator will detect the deletion of the test configuration on the device during its normal synchronization process. Then it will synchronize its data store to remove the configuration from its inventory. However, if you want to force this test to be deleted immediately, simply select the Force delete option.

Viewing Detailed RFC-2544 Test Results

The detailed results of an RFC-2544 test are stored in a file. The results of tests being run through Vision SP are sent to the Legacy orchestrator server when the test is completed. When Legacy orchestrator retrieves the file, it is automatically deleted from the device.

To display the detailed results of an RFC-2544 test

  1. Access the page RFC-2544 ▶ Results.

  2. Select a test result. You may select several test results by clicking and pressing down on the Ctrl or the Shift key on your keyboard.

  3. Click the Show RFC-2544 Test Report button.
If more than one test was selected, subsequent reports are appended in the RFC-2544 Test Report dialog.

From this dialog, you can export the report by clicking the Export button.

Exporting RFC-2544 Test Results

Notes:

Text summaries have replaced pie charts as of Legacy orchestrator 23.12.

The Test status and Finished test filter is the same as operationalState and lastUpdate chart in Devices tab of Managed Elements.

The Test duration chart filter has two fields representing a time range in hours. Each field will receive a number from 0 to 24, meaning 0 hour to 24 hours. Fields must be in ascending order.

The dashboard provides you with the following statistics:
