This article illustrates​ how to upgrade a Capture Sensor (formerly Skylight capture: sensor) in Cisco Provider Connectivity Assurance (formerly Skylight performance analytics).

Upgrading Capture Sensors from the GUI

To upgrade a Capture Sensor from the GUI

  1. Login to Cisco Provider Connectivity Assurance and go to Settings ▶ Capture as shown below.

  2. Under the Sensors tab, choose the Capture Sensor to upgrade.

  3. Click on the field Queue upgrade and wait for the new “Restart required” status.
    In this example, we can see that the Capture Sensor does not have the latest version.

    It may take a few minutes, or longer, depending on the bandwidth available to reach the Capture Sensor.

  4. When Restart required appears, you can restart the Capture Sensor. Select Restart from the dropdown menu.

    When the reboot is complete, the new version is installed.
