General Settings

For administrators, configure general settings to customize elements of Skylight performance analytics including logo and theme color, granularity, units, language and tenant time zone.

To configure general settings, go to Settings ► General, then complete the parameters.

Logo and Theme Color

• Logo: Click the logo, then select an image to display on the top of the left sidebar. Use square images.
• Theme color: Click the color icon, then select the color to use for icons and highlights.

Granularity

Maximum data granularity: Select the maximum data granularity to use for viewing metrics. Choose from PT1S, PT30S, PT1M, and PT5M (point every n minutes or seconds).

The granularity refers to the maximum precision up to which you can visualize your data points, provided that they are ingested at the selected granularity.

Units

• Data unit: Select the unit to use for data. Choose Bit or Byte.
  • Bit - Shows data metric values (e.g. Installed Memory and Memory Utilization) as Kb, Mb, Gb, and shows data rate values (e.g. In and Out) in Kbps, Mbps, Gbps.
  • Byte - Shows data metric values (e.g. Installed Memory and Memory Utilization) as KB, MB, GB, and shows data rate values (e.g. In and Out) in KBps, MBps, GBps.
• Base time unit: Select the unit to use for time measurements. Choose Millisecond or Microsecond.

Language

Select the language to use for fields and parameters. Choose English or French.

Tenant Timezone

Select the global timezone setting for all users. Using the tenant timezone gives all users a consistent view of data.
