What is my performance data's retention?
Cisco Provider Connectivity Assurance (formerly Skylight performance analytics) offers the capability to retain varying levels of data granularity for different time periods.
Granularities
Incoming data is aggregated into pre-set intervals to improve query performance and support longer data retention. The following are the pre-set intervals:
- Raw or Full granularity as received from the data source
- 1 minute
- 15 minute
- 1 hour
- 1 day (only available for capture per packet intel data, not third-party or session PM data)
Default Retention Periods
Cisco Provider Connectivity Assurance Sensor Capture (formerly Skylight sensor: capture) produces performance data from packet analysis, and can have different data retention settings from the session performance data from other Cisco Provider Connectivity Assurance Sensors and third-party sources.
Data Type | Production | Proof of Value / Trial |
---|---|---|
