Setting Up a Firmware Upgrade Configuration Job

Prev Next

You can upgrade the firmware of devices from Legacy Orchestrator using a configuration job.

You can stage the new firmware version on the Legacy Orchestrator appliance before upgrading the firmware. "Managing Performance Element Firmware" for an explanation of how to stage a firmware version on Legacy Orchestrator.

Alternatively, you can specify the URL where the firmware file (to be used for the upgrade) can be obtained.

CAUTION: Performing a firmware upgrade will require a reboot on the unit. Rebooting a unit momentarily interrupts traffic and operations.

To set up a Firmware upgrade job

  1. Access the page Commission â–¶ Jobs.

  2. Set all common configuration job settings, as described in "Creating Configuration Jobs in GUI Mode" and "Creating Configuration Jobs Using Data Sets".

  3. Select FW upgrade in the left pane. The FW upgrade tab is displayed.
