Setting Up a Clocks Configuration Job

A clocks configuration job allows you to set up a Time of Day (ToD) clock on a Provider Connectivity Assurance Sensor Control. The job sets up a distributed clock that does not use PTP as its reference source.

To set up a Clocks configuration job

  1. Access the page Commission â–¶ Jobs.

  2. Set all common configuration job settings, as described in "Creating Configuration Jobs in GUI Mode" and in "Creating Configuration Jobs Using Data Sets".

  3. Select Clocks in the left pane. The Clocks tab is displayed.

  4. Complete all fields in the Clocks tab as required. For more information on specific parameters, see the table below.

  5. Click Apply, then click Close.
    Click the Refresh  Button_Refresh_Generic.png  button to refresh the user interface.

Clocks tab (Commission â–¶ Jobs)

General

Parameter Description
Clock name Name by which the clock will be identified on the devices being configured.
Rename clock Check this box if the job will rename a clock that was previously defined on the units being configured.
New clock name Enter a new name for the clock if the job will rename a clock that was previously defined on the units being configured.
Module Name of the module on which the clock will be configured.
Enable ARTS Enable the use of Accedian Remote Time Synchronization (ARTS) to set the time of the clock.
