Use Capture Orchestration profiles by choosing Sensors > Capture > Profiles to configure settings that you can share across multiple sensors.
Note: You can apply a profile to multiple sensors, but some settings (such as hostname) cannot be shared and must be set directly on the sensor.
Profiles Page
The page displays a table of profiles, including the number of sensors that use each profile and the last-edited time.
Add a Profile
- Click the plus icon (+).
- Complete the required fields:
- Enter a Profile name.
- Toggle VM Agent on to enable reporting of capture sensor health monitoring metrics.
- Click Save (checkmark icon) in the top-right corner.
Delete a Profile
- In the table, click the profile.
- Click the ellipsis (...).
- Select Delete profile. A confirmation dialog appears.
- Click Delete.
Clone a Profile
Cloning lets you use the settings of an existing profile when creating a new one.
- In the table, click the profile.
- Click the ellipsis (...).
- Select Clone profile.
- Enter a different profile name.
- (Optional) Adjust parameters as needed.
- Click Save (checkmark icon) in the top-right corner.
Productivity Features
- Filter fields in the form.
- Collapse or expand all fields by clicking Collapse all or Expand all.
- Use Auto Collapse to keep open only the section you are working in.
- Preserve your place in the form when you navigate to another profile and return.
- Search for profiles and filter the list to see a subset of results.
- See which sensors are queued for upgrade.
- Point to a field to view tooltips that explain configuration settings.
