Profile Management

Use Capture Orchestration profiles (Sensors ► Capture ► Profiles) to configure and manage settings that can be shared across multiple sensors.

While you can apply a profile to multiple sensors, some settings, such as hostname, cannot be shared and must be set directly on the sensor.

Main View

Opening the page shows a table with the profiles created along with the number of sensors using each profile and the last time the profile was edited.

Add a Profile

To add a profile:

1. Click ➕ .
2. Complete the required fields.
   Enter a profile name.
   Toggle VM Agent on if you want to enable the reporting of capture sensor health monitoring metrics.
3. Click ✓ in the top-right to save and create your new profile.

Delete a Profile

To delete a profile:

1. From the table, click the profile.
2. Click the ellipsis (...).
3. Select Delete profile. A confirmation appears.
4. Select Delete.

Clone a Profile

Cloning allows you to use the settings of another profile when creating a new one.

To clone a profile:

1. From the table, click the profile.
2. Click the ellipsis (...).
3. Select Clone profile.
4. Enter a different profile name.
5. (Optional) Configure the parameters as needed.
6. Click ✓ in the top-right to save your changes.

Quality of Life Features

Quality of Life features include:

• Filtering the fields in the form
• Collapsing or expanding all the fields in the form by clicking either Collapse all or Expand all buttons
• Auto collapse, which simply keeps open the current section you are working in
• Remembering where you are in the form in case you are cross referencing another profile
• Searching for profiles; you can filter the list to see a subset of the data
• Providing information regarding which sensors are queued for upgrade, etc.
• Tooltips explaining the purpose of the configuration settings
