Scheduling Configuration Jobs and Flows

Article summary

Optionally, you can define schedulers that will run an executor once at a specific time or multiple times, instead of running it manually. Executor schedulers can be defined for job executors and for flow executors.

When scheduling an executor, you can select the day(s) of the week and the time at which the job will be executed.

Access the page Commission ▶ Executor Schedulers to view all executor scheduler entries, as shown in the figure below. The table below explains the information in the list.

List of Executor Schedulers (Commission ▶ Executor Schedulers)

ParameterDescription
Scheduler nameName of scheduler.
Executor nameName of executor (previously defined) that will be run at the time(s) defined in the scheduler.
Executor statusIndicates the most recent state of the executor that has been scheduled by the scheduler.
Last execution dateDate and time when the executor was last run.

A blank field indicates this executor has not yet been run.

Last scheduler statusIndicates the state of the scheduler:
  • Success
  • Failed

A blank field indicates this scheduler has not yet been run.

EnableAllows you to enable or disable the scheduler from the list of schedulers:
  • Checked: This activates the scheduler. The executor will be run at the time(s) defined in the scheduler.
  • Unchecked: This scheduler is not currently active.

Adding an Executor Scheduler

To schedule a configuration job

  1. Access the page Commission ▶ Executor Schedulers.

  2. Click the Add Job Scheduler Button_New_Generic.png button to add a new executor scheduler or double-click an entry to edit it.
    The Job scheduler configuration dialog is displayed.

  3. If you are ready to enable the scheduler, check the Enable box. It can be enabled later if you prefer.

  4. Enter a Scheduler name.

  5. Select a Start date.

  6. Set Type to Once or Schedule, depending on whether you want a one-time execution or a schedule for more than one.

  7. Click in the Executor name field to select what you want to schedule. A dialog pops up allowing you to select from the list of previously defined job executors and flow executors.

  8. If you selected Schedule in the Type field, complete the fields in the section Scheduled settings section.

  9. Click Apply, then click Close.

  10. Click the Refresh Button_Refresh_Generic.png button to refresh the user interface.

Adding an Executor Scheduler (Commission ▶ Executor Schedulers)

ParameterDescription
EnableAllows you to enable or disable the scheduler:
  • Checked: This activates the scheduler. The executor will be run at the time(s) defined in the scheduler.
  • Unchecked: This scheduler is not currently active.

You can also enable the scheduler from the list at a later time.

Scheduler nameName of the executor scheduler.
DescriptionDescription of the executor scheduler.
Start dateThe date and time at which the job will start. Click on the date chooser date selector buttonButton_DateChooser.png to select a date and time in the correct format MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM.
TypeThe type of executor scheduler:
  • Once: This job will be executed on the date and time entered in the field Start date.
  • Schedule: This job will start on the date and time entered in the field Start date. If this option is selected, you must complete the fields in the Scheduled settings section.
Executor nameSelect the job executor that you want to run at the time(s) defined in the scheduler.

Scheduled settings (enabled if Type is set to Schedule)

DayThe day(s) on which the job will be executed.
HourThe hour (0-23) at which the job will be executed.
MinutesThe minute (0-59) at which the job will be executed.

Deleting an Executor Scheduler

To delete a scheduler

  1. Access the page Commission ▶ Executor Schedulers.
    Select one or more Executor Schedulers that you want to delete in the list.

  2. Click the Remove Job Scheduler Button_Remove_Generic.png button.

  3. In the confirmation dialog, click OK to confirm.
