Restoring the Configuration of a Device from Backup
Legacy orchestrator maintains backup files of the configuration of individual Provider Connectivity Assurance devices. A configuration backup file contains the configuration of an individual device at a particular point in time.
This section explains how to restore the configuration of a device from a backup file.
Here are some examples of when you might restore a device's configuration from a backup file:
- If an invalid configuration is applied to a device, you can use a previous backup to restore the device to an operational state.
- If a device fails, you can locate a configuration backup for the failed device on Legacy orchestrator and apply the backup to a replacement device.
