  • PDF

Article summary

With the MAC addresses now assigned, the license keys can be imported into the target installation virtual machines.

To import the license on the target installation

  1. Open an SSH terminal session to the Skylight orchestrator designated as site-a on port 2200.

  2. Log in as the visionems user.

  3. Import the Hot Standby license by entering:
    redundancy license import filename /data/backups/drdb-proxy.license

  4. Open an SSH terminal session to the Skylight orchestrator designated as site-b on port 2200.

  5. Log in as the visionems user.

  6. Import the Hot Standby license by entering:
    redundancy license import filename /data/backups/drdb-proxy.license

At this point, the target installation virtual machines have their hot standby license installed. It is recommended to complete and start the hot standby configuration in the target installation. This will validate that the licensing and networking of the target installation is ready for hot standby functions, ensuring no unexpected complications will arise during the actual rehoming process.

Consult Administrative Operations for procedures on configuring and starting hot standby functionality.
