Enabling or Disabling Console CLI through Serial Port

Note: To log in, enter your username (default is root) and password (default is admin123).

To enable or disable console CLI through serial port

  1. Execute the following command to enable console CLI through the serial port.
Your Product# cli console 
  1. View the console CLI status using the following show command.
Your Product# show nvram

About Commands

cli console

Command Objective
This command enables the console CLI through a serial port.

The no form of the command disables console CLI.

Syntax

cli console
no cli console

Note: This command takes effect only on system restart.

show nvram

Command Objective
This command displays the current information stored in the NVRAM.
