Protocol Description

The Performance Monitoring (PMON) feature collects the statistics from each standard monitoring entity like physical interfaces and Ethernet Maintenance End Point. It maintains the collected statistics, in history bins for future reference. The collected statistics and metrics are stored in current bins and moved to history bins when the 15-min and 1-day timer expires.

Below are the configuration details and functionality of the PMON module:

• Policy Profile Configuration
• TCA Threshold values configuration for each policy
• Configuration for clearing the statistics for each policy type
• Port Policy type stats retrieval
• DMM and SLM stats retrieval
• Show commands
• Show running configuration for the above commands
