Platform Monitor CLI commands are categorized as follows:

Configuration Command

This section includes the Platform Monitor configuration command.

set dry-contact

Command Objective:
This command sets the configuration parameters of the dry-contact probe.

Syntax:
set dry-contact < id > { [state {enable|disable}] [interval <100-1000>] [name <1-127 characters>] [normalstate {close|open}] }

Parameter Description:

  • < id > - The dry-contact input id <1|2>
  • {state <enable|disable>] - Enable/Disable the dry-contact input operational state
  • {interval <100-1000>} - Interval at which the probe will collect data. From 100 to 1000 milliseconds, expressed in steps of 100 milliseconds.
  • {name <1-127 characters>] - Dry-contact input name
  • {normalstate {close|open}} - Normal state of the dry-contact input

Mode:
Platform Monitor Configuration

Example:

Your Product# configure terminal
Your Product(config)# dry-contact
Your Product(dry-contact)# set dry-contact 1 state enable interval 100 name Input1Active normalstate close

Display Commands

This section includes Platform Monitor display commands.

show platform-monitor

Command Objective:
This command displays Platform information.

Syntax:
show platform-monitor { cpu | cpuload | memory | fs | psu | fan | temp}

Parameter Description:

  • cpu - CPU usage
  • cpuload - CPU load average
  • memory - Memory usage
  • fs - File System usage
  • psu - Power Supply
  • fan - Fan
  • temp - Temperature

Mode:
Privileged EXEC Mode

Example:

Your Product# show platform-monitor cpu
CPU used : 9%

show platform-monitor dry-contact configuration | status

Command Objective:
This command displays dry-contact configuration and status information.

Syntax:
show platform-monitor dry-contact {configuration | status}

Parameter Description:

  • dry-contact - The dry-contact probe
  • configuration | status - Configuration|Status of the dry-contact input

Displayed Parameters Description:

  • Input #< id > - The dry-contact input id <1|2>
  • Operational state : Enable|Disable - The dry-contact input operational state
  • Normal input state : Opened|Closed - Normal state of the dry-contact input
  • Interval < 100-1000 > msec - Interval at which the probe will collect data. From 100 to 1000 milliseconds.
  • Name <1-127 characters> - The dry-contact input name
  • Input pin state : Opened|Closed - Input pin state of the dry-contact

Privileged EXEC Mode

show platform-monitor transceiver

Command Objective:
This command lists transceivers connected on the unit's ports and provides high-level information for the following:

  • Type
  • Vendor name
  • Part number
  • Serial number

Syntax:
show platform-monitor transceiver

Mode:
Privileged EXEC Mode

Command Objective:
This command provides further information for each transceiver that is set port ID: 1 to 4 or AUX (as labeled on the product's front panel):

  • Temperature (C)
  • Supply Voltage (V)
  • Tx Bias Current (mA)
  • Tx Output Power (dBm)
  • Rx Optical Pwr (dBm)
  • Type
  • Vendor name
  • Part number
  • Serial number

Syntax:
show platform-monitor transceiver [port]

Parameter Description:

  • port - 1 to 4 or AUX (as labeled on the product's front panel)
