SFTP, or Secure File Transfer Protocol, is a secure file transfer network protocol that utilizes secure shell encryption in order to provide a high level of security for file access, sending and receiving file transfers, and file management.

Assurance Sensor F100 and F25 provide support for copying log files and configuration files from the switch to the SFTP server and from the SFTP server to the switch. It supports downloading the firmware images from the SFTP server to the switch.

These articles describe copying files from the switch to the SFTP server and from the SFTP server to the switch using the default or standard SSH port number and using the user-specified port number for outgoing SFTP connections.
