This article explains how to enable Telnet on a remote terminal and display the Telnet server status. The Command Line Interface (CLI) can be used to configure the unit from a remote terminal using Telnet.
Note: To log in, enter your username (default is root) and password (default is admin123).
To enable Telnet
- Execute the following command in Global Configuration mode:
Your Product# feature telnet
end
- View the Telnet service status in Privileged EXEC Mode:
Your Product# show telnet server
telnet service enabled

However, it can be executed when SSH is connected.
