Article summary

This article explains what Provider Connectivity Assurance Sensor Modules are and what can be done in the Managed Modules & SFPs and Unmanaged Modules & SFPs pages.

Currently, the only devices that appear in the Managed Modules & SFPs list are Assurance Sensor Modules and Assurance Sensor SFP modules that are in the inventory of a Provider Connectivity Assurance Sensor Control. These modules act as remote ports for Provider Connectivity Assurance Sensor Control.

From the Managed Modules & SFPs page, you can:

  • View the list of all Assurance Sensor Modules that have been loaded in Legacy orchestrator.
  • View details of an Assurance Sensor Module.
  • Add, resync, or unmanage Assurance Sensor Modules.
  • Upgrade the firmware of an Assurance Sensor Module.
  • Change the Admin State of an Assurance Sensor Module (put it in service or out of service).
  • View the Assurance Sensor Modules' dashboard.

From the Unmanaged Modules & SFPs page, you can:

  • View the list of all Assurance Sensor Modules that have been loaded in Legacy orchestrator with DISCONNECTED state or added by Inventory polling.
  • Manage Assurance Sensor Modules that are currently Unmanaged.
  • Delete Assurance Sensor Modules.
