Refreshing Alarms

Alarms and their statuses are refreshed automatically. You can, however, refresh them manually.
A manual refresh comes in handy when:

  • Devices are configured to send alarms in SNMP traps to the Skylight orchestrator trap receiver. These alarms are transferred faster than via the background operation and sometimes SNMP traps can temporarily get lost in the network. A manual refresh rectifies this by forcing an alarm update.
  • You have been on an alarm page for a few minutes and want to display new alarms.

To refresh alarms

Do one of the following:

  • Refresh/reload the page; or
  • Log out and then log back in.
