New Features

Skylight Flex 100 release 22.01.3 introduces the following new features.

Y.1564 Enhancements

Y.1564 is used to perform end-to-end Ethernet service activation tests (SAT). Release 22.01.3 of Skylight Flex 100 incorporates the following Y.1564 enhancements:

  • Frame Transfer Delay (FTD) values displayed in milliseconds with microsecond precision for both SAC configuration and report
  • Frame Delay Variations (FDV) values displayed in milliseconds with microsecond precision for both SAC configuration and report
  • Frame Loss Ratio (FLR) configuration in SAC profile is extended to support fractional value (example: 0.01%)
  • Layer 1 and Layer 2 Flow configuration support
  • Maximum SLA session creation has been extended to 100 with ID ranges from 1 to 100; the maximum number of active/concurrent SAT sessions running in the system is 10.

Note: If the FTD and FDV values exceed 999.999 milliseconds, microseconds will not be displayed.

To learn more, see Y.1564.

CLI Commands

Release 22.01.3 of Skylight Flex 100 adds additional CLI command support. The added commands are:

  • tech-support: The Tech Support Generator collects various system information such as kernel, network, and other OS related data. The collected data will be stored and compressed into a single file that is then exportable.
  • show oss: This command displays the name, version, copyright notice and license terms of each open source software (OSS) component that is used.
  • y1564 flow-bytes mode layer1: This command configures the Y.1564 parameters for flow bytes mode as Layer 1.

For more information, see the Skylight Flex CLI Command Guide.

Filename and Pathname Length

With release 22.01.3 of Skylight Flex 100, maximum character length for filenames and pathnames has increased to 127. Prior to this, filenames and pathnames were limited to 32 characters.

Operational Considerations

This section documents the operational considerations
related to Skylight Flex 100 release 22.01.3.

Access Control List Considerations

The order of operation/matching of ACL rules is based on the order of the ACL configuration; a separate field/configuration to specify priority of the ACL is not supported.

ACLs associated with the port, when requiring modification, will have to be deleted and reconfigured with updated field value.

NETCONF Limitations

NETCONF management can only be made via the default credentials in the OS which are currently restricted to the admin username.

Addressed Issues

This section lists issues corrected in Skylight Flex 100 release 22.01.3.

Measurement Interval is missing
Measurement Interval is missing in the OpenMetrics Report as well as on the CSV output file.

This issue has been fixed.

Period ID is missing
Period ID is missing in the OpenMetrics Report as well as on the CSV output file.

This issue has been fixed.

Skylight performance analytics not presenting PM metrics data
Skylight performance analytics does not present PM metrics data when two or more MEPs are configured.

This issue has been fixed.

Gap between reported time in CSV name with time in reports
Following RR disconnection recovery, there is gap between the reported time in the CSV name with the time in the reports.

This issue has been fixed.

Coupling Flag and Envelope Coupling Flag set to Disabled following firmware upgrade
Firmware upgrade from releases prior to Skylight Flex 100 release 22.01.3 results into setting the Coupling Flag and the Envelope Coupling Flag to Disabled.

This issue has been fixed.

Device reloads after executing command to disable second meter-stats in MEF envelope
Skylight Flex 100 device is reloaded after executing the command to disable second meter-stats in MEF envelope.

This issue has been fixed.

The LLDP “Port Id” in “show lldp local” and “sh lldp neighbor detail” is truncated to 24 characters
This corresponds to the actual interface alias. The “Interface Alias” in “show interface” displays the FULL string of the alias interface.

This issue has been fixed.

Debug messages appear on Console port
This occurs when attempting SSH connections using SSH-1 (RSA) Keys.

This issue has been fixed.

Envelope-name is displayed incorrectly when showing the running configuration
The command to show the running configuration is show running-config qos.

This issue has been fixed.

MEF priority mapping is displayed after upgrade
This occurs even though there is no configured envelope.

This issue has been fixed.

MMRP and GMRP are not operational under port-based scenarios
Concerning L2CP Tunneling, under certain circumstances (port-based scenarios), MMRP and GMRP are not operational.

This issue has been fixed.

Two Way Frame Delay min/max/avg value is zero for the line microseconds delays
Unexpectedly, correspondent MIBs do not reflect the correct values.

This issue has been fixed.
