Y.1731 protocol extends CCM messages for fault management, to have performance monitoring. The following articles describe the Y.1731 Performance monitoring (Frame loss and Frame Delay) related CLI configuration for the unit. It contains the details of CLI configurations for creating, starting, stopping, and deleting Y.1731 PM - SLM and DMM Proactive session.
CLI Configuration
CLI command to create or start the proactive SLM session for a point-to-point ETH connection.
your product(config)# ethernet cfm proactive slm start domain CUS5 service CUSMA5 local-mpid 9 remote-mpid 10 test-id 4 test-name SLM_TEST interval ten-ms drop-enable
Note: When this command is executed, if the proactive session is not already present, it is newly created. In case it is already cleared and has stop status, it will be restarted again with "Start" option.CLI command to stop the proactive SLM session.
