Configuring Maintenance Association


This article describes the configuration of the CFM MA at a particular maintenance domain.


Notes:

The Maintenance Domain must be configured prior to the configuration of the Maintenance Association.

To log in, enter your username (default is root) and password (default is admin123).


CLI Configurations

To configure Maintenance Association

  1. Execute the steps for configuring MD.
  2. Enter into the ECFM configuration mode and configure service at a specific VLAN.
Your Product(config-ether-ecfm)# service name  CustAssoc1 vlan 101
  1. Return to the Global Configuration mode.
Your Product(config-ether-ecfm)# exit


Notes:
The user can configure ICC (ITU Carrier Code) and UMC (Unique MEGID Code) using service name icc umc command.
Your Product(config-ether-ecfm)# service name CustAssoc1 icc icc1 umc umc1 vlan 101
The user can configure the MA name type/format using the service format name vlan command.
Your Product(config-ether-ecfm)# service format primary-vid vlan 1001
For the configuration of VLAN-UnAware MA(s), the vlan keyword must not be provided with the command.

To delete configured Maintenance Association

  1. Enter into the ECFM configuration mode and delete the service within the MD.
Your Product(config-ether-ecfm)# no service name CustAssoc1


Note: User can delete configured MA name type/format using no service format name command.
Your Product(config-ether-ecfm)# no service format primary-vid name 1001

Displaying Maintenance Association

This section describes the command that is used to display the details (displays the maintenance association name, domain name, level, primary VLAN, level, the associated number of maintenance endpoints which are statically defined, and CCM Interval for all the Maintenance Association configured on the bridge) of all the CFM Maintenance Associations (Services) configured in the system.

CLI Configurations

  1. Once logged in and in global configuration mode, display the Maintenance Association configured on the bridge.
Your Product# show ethernet cfm service brief
