Article Summary

This procedure explains how to create a configuration job in GUI mode.

It is also possible to do the following:

  • Create a configuration template. See "Creating a Configuration Flow Template".
  • Create a configuration job from dataset files. See "Creating Configuration Jobs Using Datasets".

To create a configuration job in GUI mode

  1. Access the page Commission ▶ Jobs.

  2. Click the Button_New_Generic.png button (above the list) to add a new configuration job. You can also:

    • Copy a job by selecting it in the list and clicking the Button_Duplicate.png button.
    • Edit an existing job by double-clicking the job in the list.

The Job configuration dialog is displayed.

  3. Check the configuration steps (the list on the left side of the page) that you want to include in this job.

  4. If necessary, change the order of the configuration steps by dragging and dropping them into different positions in the list. The steps will be executed in the order they appear in the list. This is important if certain steps are prerequisites for other steps. For example, a Layer 2 filter (the L2 filter step) must be created before it can be used in a policy (the Policies step).

  5. Complete the tab for each configuration step that you select. For more information about a particular step, locate the section for that step in "Configuration Jobs".

  6. Click Apply then click Close.
