Creating a Configuration Flow Executor Using Dataset

  • PDF

Article summary

The procedure in this section explains how to create a configuration Flow Executor using a Dataset. It will be applied to a predefined list of devices: an ME reference data set and predefined list of tokens: a Flow token data set.

Note: This article is for Skylight orchestrator 23.12 and later.

Before you can perform this procedure, the data sets that you need must already be available in Skylight orchestrator. You can create data sets or you can use data sets that have already been defined. It must contain at least a Flow token data set and a ME Reference. For more information about data sets and how to define them, see "About Flow token dataset" and “About ME Reference dataset"

Note: When creating a Flow Executor using a data set, we cannot enter values for the parameters that were defined with flow tokens manually.

To create a configuration flow executor using a data set

  1. Access the page Commissioning ▶ Flow Executors.

  2. Select the Add flow executor image.png button. Alternatively, to copy an existing executor, select it in the list and select the Duplicate flow executor image.png button. To reuse an existing executor, double-click it in the list.
The Configuration flow profile dialog is displayed. The Profile selection tab is on top.

  3. Enter a name for the executor in the Executor name field.

  4. (Optional) Enable the Number of failures checkbox to limit the number of attempts to execute the profile. Then, enter a number in the Number of failures field.

  5. In the Profile name tab, check the profile that you wish to execute. Only one profile can be selected.

  6. Check the Use dataset box. This enables the use of a predefined list of devices (an ME reference data set) and value of the flow token (a Flow token data set). The configuration job will be applied to the devices in the data set.

  7. Select ME reference data set drop-down list and select Flow token data set drop-down list.

  8. Click Apply.

  9. To execute the configuration flow immediately, select the Execution status tab and click the Start Executor button.

  10. Click the Close button to close the Configuration flow executor dialog.

  11. Click the Refresh image.png button to refresh the user interface.
