About the Management Web Interface

The Web-based management interface provides access to all system control, management and monitoring functions.

The management station is the computer that you use to connect to the management Web interface; it must be equipped with a JavaScript-enabled Web browser, such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Internet Explorer v11. The elements of a typical user interface screen are shown below.

SFP and RJ45 Status LEDs: The status LED associated with a connected device is lit green as soon as the device is detected by the Skylight module dock and the correct media is selected. In the example above, a Skylight sensor: module 1G is connected to the Skylight module dock.

Serial Number, Type and MAC Address of the Active Device: Additional information about the active device is provided here for your convenience.

Working Area: This is where you view information and configure system parameters. For details, see the article Upgrading the Skylight module dock Device's Firmware.

First- and Second-Level Menus: The top row presents the first level menu. It is always visible. The second level (second row) presents a submenu based on the option selected from the first-level menu.

To navigate between the functions, click an option on the first-level menu, then on the second level menu until you see the function you want to use. Each menu item you select will be highlighted. For example, in the figure above, the selected menu item is Skylight module dock System ▶ Information.
