Article summary

Legacy orchestrator has two programming interfaces:

  • REST API
  • XML/http(s) Export Interface

About the REST API

Legacy orchestrator has a RESTful (Representational State Transfer) API. Also known as a REST API. It allows other systems to access the web services of Legacy orchestrator programmatically.

Software developers can use the REST API to develop client applications that communicate directly with a running Legacy orchestrator system.
The REST API supports:

  • addition of devices
  • retrieval of inventory
  • management of configuration jobs
  • SAT testing
  • management of performance sessions

This section briefly describes the REST API and explains how to access online documentation for the REST API.

About the XML Export Interface

The XML Export Interface is used to retrieve performance session data from Legacy orchestrator in XML format via http(s).
For more information about the XML/http(s) interface, see the XML Export Manual.
