Article summary

The Inventory page offers a comprehensive and in-depth view of the Cisco devices that are currently being managed by Legacy orchestrator.

One of the main purposes of the inventory is to obtain a summary of the key parameters configured on all devices. Key configuration parameters of devices are stored as managed objects in the Legacy orchestrator data store. If the configuration parameters on a device change, the managed objects in the data store will be updated after Legacy orchestrator resynchronizes with the device.

In the Inventory page, you can:

  • View the complete inventory of Managed Objects for performance components managed by Legacy orchestrator. Managed objects are configuration entities (such as ports, interfaces and policies) that are stored on the managed elements. You can view a detailed list of the attributes for each managed object.
  • Filter the view of the inventory by selecting managed elements and the type of managed objects that you want to view. The Inventory page gives you a great deal of flexibility. You can select managed elements first, then select a managed object. You can also select the type of managed object first and then filter the list of managed elements. By default the entire inventory is displayed unless specific managed elements are selected.
  • Generate and export inventory reports as CSV files.
  • Set up a schedule to generate inventory reports automatically.

In addition, your previously saved settings will be retained, including:

  • Managed Elements filter
  • Managed Object types
  • Export tab
  • Column configurations (such as group by column, sorting, etc.)

Note: Saved settings will reload based on the User ID of the logged-in user. This means that if User 1 has previously configured settings, these settings will reappear when User 1 switches to the Inventory tab. However, when User 2 navigates to the Inventory tab, they will see the default page.
