Creating Network Partition Configuration in GUI Mode

The following procedure explains how to create a network partition configuration in GUI mode.

To create a network partition configuration in GUI mode

  1. Access the Network Partitions page.

  2. Click the Add partition image.png button.

The Network partition configuration window is displayed. The Users tab is above.

  1. Enter a Partition name.

  2. Drag the users that you want to assign to a partition from the left pane to the right pane titled Users to be added.

  3. If you do not want to select target devices immediately, click Apply then Close to close the window. The new partition is added to the list.

  4. Select the target devices:
    Drag the devices from the left pane (Device selection) to the right pane (Target devices).

  5. Click Apply.

  6. Click Close to close the Network Partitions Configuration window.

  7. Click the Refresh image.pngbutton to refresh the user interface.

Network Partition Configuration (Network Partitions â–¶ Add partitions button)

Parameter Description
Partition name Name of the partition

Users tab

Parameter Description
Name The list of user name

Device selection, Elements tab

Parameter Description
Name Identifiers for the devices available for selection. Drag devices into the Target devices list.
Label User-defined label that will allow users to identify and group modules.
Serial number The serial number of the device.
IP The IP address of the device.
MAC address The MAC address of the device.
Version The current firmware version that runs the device.
Model The model of the device.
Target devices The list of devices selected for one of the user's assigned partitions.
