Retrieve Telemetry Collector Secrets
Before you can successfully start the Telemetry Collector, a secrets.yaml file must be provided. This file must contain the agent identifier and an initial JSON Web Token (JWT), required for the handshake when connecting to the Management web socket in Sensor Collector.
You can create the secrets.yaml file using either the User Interface method or the API method. Refer to the following section for instructions pertaining to the User Interface method.
User Interface Method
Follow these steps to generate and save the secrets.yaml file using the User Interface:
To create the secrets.yaml file using the user interface:

Navigate to the Sensors > Telemetry Collector page in the User Interface.

Click the Generate auth yoken button.
The contents for the secrets.yaml file will be created and displayed.

Copy the generated file contents as shown in the screenshots below.

Open a text editor and paste the copied contents.

Save the file as secrets.yaml.

Store the secrets.yaml file in the path specified in your Docker compose file (for example: ./secrets/secrets.yaml:/run/secrets/secrets.yaml).
