Retrieve Telemetry Collector Secrets
Before you can start the Telemetry Collector, a secrets.yaml file must be provided. This file must contain the agent identifier and an initial JSON Web Token (JWT) required for the handshake when connecting to the Management web socket in Sensor Collector.
You can create the secrets.yaml file using either the User Interface method or the API method. Refer to the following section for instructions pertaining to the User Interface method.

User Interface Method
Follow these steps to generate and save the secrets.yaml file using the user interface:
To create the secrets.yaml file using the user interface:

In Sensors > Collectors > Telemetry collectors, choose the Telemetry Collector.
The right sidebar appears. -
In Summary > Telemetry container setup, click Generate auth token.
The contents for the secrets.yaml file will be created and displayed.

Copy the generated file contents by using the Copy to clipboard button.

Open a text editor and paste the copied contents.

Save the file as secrets.yaml.

Store the secrets.yaml file in the path specified in your Docker compose file (for example: ./secrets/secrets.yaml:/run/secrets/secrets.yaml).
