Configuring Module Discovery Trigger - Example
This article provides the sample configuration setup for Module Discovery Trigger.
Configurating Module Discovery Trigger with Configuration Jobs (Using Data Set)
In Data Sets page
Create ME reference data set.
a. Access Commission ▶ Data Sets page.
b. Click to import the ME reference data set.
c. Enter the data set name and select ME reference data set in Type.
d. Choose ME reference data set file in CSV.
e. Click Import to create ME reference data set.
f. Click X to close dialog.
g. Double-click the ME reference created above to the define modules list.
h. Click Save, then click X to close.
Create a Data set step.
a. Access Commission ▶ Data Sets page.
b. Click to import the Data set step.
c. Enter the data set name and select data set step in Type.
d. Choose data set step file in CSV.
e. Click Import to create data set step.
f. Click X to close dialog.
g. Double-click the Data set step created above to the define the values.
h. Click Save, then click X to close.
In Jobs page
Access Commission ▶ Jobs page.
Click to create job profile.
Enter the configuration job name.
Check ME reference data set enable box.
Select a data set using the ME reference data set drop-down list.
Check the configuration steps (the list on the left side of the page) that you want to include in this job.
Check the box to enable use of a data set for the step.
Select a step data set from the drop-down list. A data set file for the step must have been previously prepared and imported.
Click Apply, then click Close.
In Module Discovery Trigger page
Access Commission ▶ Module Discovery Trigger page.
Click to display the Module Discovery Trigger dialog.
In Configuration jobs, check the Enable box.
Select the configuration job by dragging it from the list on the left side of the page to the list on the right side.
Click Apply, then click Close.
Configurating Module Discovery Trigger With Flow Profile
In Jobs page
Access Commission ▶ Jobs.
Click to create a job profile.
Enter the configuration job name.
Check Flow template box.
Enter the device token in Device token.
Check the configuration steps (the list on the left side of the page) that you want to include in this job.
Define some flow tokens.
Click Apply, then click Close.
Note: If Device token is not entered, Device token will default to the Configuration flow template name.
In Data Sets page
Create ME reference data set.
a. Access Commission ▶ Data Sets page.
b. Click to import the ME reference data set.
c. Enter the data set name and select ME reference data set in Type.
d. Choose ME reference data set file in CSV.
e. Click Import to create ME reference data set.
f. Click X to close dialog.
g. Double-click ME reference created above to define modules list.
h. Click Save, then click X to close.
Create Flow token data set.
a. Access Commission ▶ Data Sets page.
b. Click to import the Flow token data set.
c. Enter the data set name and select Flow token data set in Type.
d. Choose Flow token data set file in CSV.
e. Click Import to create Flow token data set.
f. Click X to close dialog.
g. Double-click Flow token data set to enter values for device tokens and flow tokens defined in Flow template.
h. Click Save, then click X to close.
In Flow Profiles page
Access Commission ▶ Flow Profiles page.
Click to create flow profile.
Enter a name for the profile in the Profile name field.
Select the flow template by dragging it from the list on the left side of the page to the list on the right side.
In the area that displays the profile parameter details, enter descriptions for each of the parameters.
Click Apply, then click Close.
In Module Discovery Trigger page
Access Commission ▶ Module Discovery Trigger page.
Click to display the Module Discovery Trigger dialog.
In Flow profile, check the Enable box.
Select Flow profile in Profile name list
Select a ME reference data set using the ME reference data set drop-down list
Select a Flow token data set using the Flow token data set drop-down list
Click Apply, then click Close.
