sfp dump

sfp dump - Dump remote devices SFP memory content

Description:
sfp dump prints SFP memory contents.

Syntax:

  sfp dump <device-name <name>>

  <name>     = <string>

Parameters:

Parameter Description
device-name Remote device's name tied to SFP settings.

sfp edit

sfp edit - Edit remote devices SFP laser control

Description:
sfp edit allows to edit SFP related settings and control the laser.

Syntax:

  sfp edit <device-name <name>> {
                 { {laser <on | off>} | {tx-disable <on | off>} } |
                 {force-link-up <enable | disable>}}+

  <name>     = <string>

Parameters:

Parameter Description
device-name Remote device's name tied to SFP settings.
laser Laser to be either ON or OFF on the device's port.
tx-disable Disable (ON) or enable (OFF) the TX on the device's port.
force-link-up Enable/disable force link up so SFP signals are set to up state.
speed Set the speed of the SFP port:
  • auto: Allows the SFP port to operate at the best speed determined via auto-detection.
  • 1G/10G: Forces the SFP port to operate at the selected speed.

sfp show

sfp show - Show remote devices SFP information

Description:
sfp show prints SFP thresholds, temperature and laser state and status, as well as vendor information.

Syntax:

  sfp show <device-name <name>>

  <name>     = <string>

Parameters:

Parameter Description
device-name Remote device's name tied to SFP settings.
