Drill Down on an Individual Alert

Overview

In an alert-based analysis, you can drill down on an alert to see why violations were raised and which metrics are associated with the alert.

To drill down on an alert, you must:

• Apply an alert policy as a filter.
• Enable See individual alerts.

When you drill down on an alert:

• The analysis template updates based on the metric configured in the alert policy.
• The current interval is replaced with a temporary alert interval.
• If the alert is not cleared, the current time is used as the interval end.
• The monitored object, application, or zone ID from the selected row is added to the filter bar.

Note: If no cleared alerts are available to drill down on, the table sorts by raised alerts.

Group by Alert ID and Drill Down

1. In Analysis, filter on a single alert policy.
2. Set Group by to Alert ID (if available).
3. Enable See individual alerts. Alert records appear.
4. In the first column of the target alert, click the ellipsis (...), then click Analyze in [template name].
