Metadata Management

Overview

Metadata management (Settings ► Metadata) enables you to provision attributes for categories.

For session, it is called custom metadata attributes.

For capture, it is called categorical management.

For information on how metadata is used, see Understanding Metadata.

Only the administrator can change the custom metadata portion. Ensure the metadata is provisioned before applying session objects.

Note: When changing the configuration, the system takes 5 to 30 minutes for the change to apply.

Adding New Custom Metadata

You can add new custom metadata for Session.

To add new custom metadata

1. Go to Settings ► Metadata ► Session.
2. Click + Add category .
3. Enter the value for the new metadata.
4. Click ✓ to save.

Note: You can add up to 50 metadata.

Modify Metadata

You can modify metadata for Session.

To modify metadata

1. Click on an existing metadata text-box (Name or Alias), change the value.

2. Click ✓ to save.

Deleting Metadata

To delete metadata

1. Click (...) beside the metadata.

2. Select Delete metadata.

Updating Metadata for a Session

To update metadata for a session:

1. Go to Inventory ► Sessions.
2. Click the row of the session.
   The side panel appears on the right.
3. In the side panel, click the metadata.
4. Make the necessary changes, then click Update.
