If you provided geo coordinates for your session data as metadata, you'll get the ability to leverage dashboard tools like Geo Heat Maps, and analysis tools like our geo map widget. Both tools let you visualize concentrations of sessions geographically - which can provide big hints to root causes and impacts when troubleshooting an issue.
The geo map widget in analysis is wired to other widgets, meaning zooming in on the map filters things like the table and distribution widgets, and inversely, filtering on the distribution widget will be reflected on the map!
Note
- Hold SHIFT allows you to drag-select an area to zoom in on with your mouse.
- Double click will quick zoom
- Scroll wheels on mice and pinch motions on trackpads will support zoom in and out actions centered on where the mouse is hovering
Provisioning Geo Coordinates
Geo coordinates are a special kind of metadata, and can be updated from either the UI or via APIs similarily to other custom metadata fields.
