Overview of Skylight Flex 100

Skylight Flex 100 presents a four-port compact form factor endpoint with 100G capability; it is a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)-based hardware platform providing high speed, granular and scalable performance monitoring in addition to flexible software capabilities and full integration with the Accedian Skylight stack. Common functions (such as switching, QoS, regulation, protection, etc.) are implemented in a silicon switch chip.

• Targeted for 100G External Network-to-Network Interface (ENNI) demarcation, this enables service providers with the ability to hand off at the core at 100G in both unprotected and protected fashion.

• 100G endpoints for business services or 5G allows service providers to offer access at the edge at higher speeds, at a lower price point, and with a smaller footprint. Service demarcation to 5G cell site provides a fast and simple way to scale bandwidth when needed.
